The Südtirol Sellaronda HERO is a classic mountain bike race.

Tour Programme

Wednesday - Arrival

Arrival at Verona Airport.

We will be there to meet you on your arrival at Verona airport and to transfer you to our hotel. Once you have had time to refresh yourself and unpack you will have time to prepare your bike and gear, we will be on hand for mechanical assistance if needed. If you are feeling like you want a little ride before the welcome drink and evening meal, we can venture onto some of the Trails nearby.

Thursday

Group Ride, after a hearty breakfast we will pack our backpacks and head out into the surrounds and hills of the region, riding some of Saturday's course as well, we will stop off for lunch before heading back to the hotel and freshen up. The rest of the afternoon is yours to discover the village.

Friday

Group Ride, an easy affair today as the race is tomorrow, so it will be another look at some of the course and also the finishing few kilometres. Lunch out and about and then back to get ready to collect our race packs and numbers for the big day.

Saturday - Sella Ronda

An early start for the departure of the Sella Ronda Hero, we will have an early breakfast organised to give you maximum time to get you to the start grids. Then it is up to you as you ride the Gran Fondo, choose if you wish to 'go for it' or just appreciate everything just a bit more and take it easy on which ever course you chose, be it the Hero Fondo (84km and 4,300 mt) or Medio Fondo (62km and 3,300 mt) routes.

Evening - Celebration dinner with stories of how our experience of a fabulous Sella Ronda Hero went.

Sunday - Group ride

A late start guaranteed for today's ride, it will be an easy affair, the idea is to get the lactic out of those legs without to much strain. A quick coffee stop, before we get going again on our route before heading back to base. Afternoon to enjoy the culture and cafe of the village. Then getting the bikes packed up ready for tomorrows departure.

Evening - Dinner at a characteristic restaurant near the hotel.

Monday - Departure

Morning transfer to Verona airport for the return flights home.

For this event we have included 5 nights in a hotel in close proximity to the start area of the Sella Ronda Hero, all evening meals, all transfers on the Wednesday and the Monday. Race entry for the Sella Ronda Hero. Plus a musette full of race goodies to see you through the weekend.
